Androids Are Multiplying More Quickly Than People

Friday, January 20th, 2012

In spite of gloomy forecasts of fantasts, our planet is not likely to be conquered by computers. However, the mobile platform Android is already making confident steps towards the world domination. In his speech at the Consumer Electronics Show 2012 Robert Kyncl, the head of YouTube portal, said that the number of daily activations of Android devices already exceeds the number of daily newborns. Kyncl stated that if the situation will develop like that, the producers will have to start searching new clients on other planets.many-androids

Mobile devices had no problems in becoming a leader. According to the statistics, the birth rate has been going down for the last three decades while the volumes of portable device production are constantly growing. The only restraining factor for the manufacturers is the level of demand for Android smartphones.

The Apple Corporation doesn’t share the similar statistics but one can presuppose that the circulations of Android devices released in great numbers from Samsung to Motorola exceeded the official figure of 250 mln iOS activations (including iPod, iPhone and iPads).

At the same time, mobile development specialists try to keep up with these tendencies and create more and more mobile devices for all platforms.

Vinci: new mobile device for kids!

Monday, January 10th, 2011

In our childhood computers were luxury but the present day generation of children start learning it since early ages. But if you let your child play with your real PC, your device can be broken and some small parts can get into the child’s stomach. In order to save your nerves and money, you’d better buy a tablet called Vinci from the company Rullingne. Unfortunately, this device isn’t on sale yet but it’s already on the stage of prototype creating and is ready for mass production. Rullingne stated Vinci is suitable even for 3-year-old kids because they won’t be able to crash the rubber-fabric tablet.photo01_whyvinci-300x208

The basis for the development of this prototype was the Samsung Galaxy Tab, and the company Rullingne is already negotiating with Samsung to launch the production of Vinci. The Vinci model differs from the original Galaxy Tab with the absence of all radio modules, i.e. there isn’t any 3G, WiFi, or even Bluetooth. The reason is simple – this tablet is designed for kids and there’s no sense in exposing them radiation.

As to the rest, Vinci is a full-functioning tablet – it has a 7-inch sensor screen, a built in 3-megapixel camera, the Hummingbird 1GHz processor and a microSD slot. Rullingne wants to equip Vinci with the Google Android 2.2 operation system. Samsung is likely to agree with launching such an unusual modification of its Galaxy Tab.

Now software development companies will have to specialize in developing mobile applications for kids! Why not? All parents want to buy all the best for their kids, so mobile app developers can create what they want!
